The Super Starter course is specially designed for primary-aged children who are starting music a little later, offering a fast-paced, engaging introduction to music and keyboard skills. This course builds a solid foundation in reading, listening, and playing, with a strong focus on practical musicianship and creativity.
Students learn to read music and are introduced to playing chords from the very beginning. Through singing, playing, rhythm work, and theory, they develop the ability to accompany songs, recognise musical patterns, and understand how music is constructed.
Lessons are vibrant and interactive, and students build confidence through performance, develop strong aural skills, and gain an early understanding of harmony and structure.
A keyboard or piano is required at home to reinforce learning between classes.
Super Starter students also have the opportunity to participate in AMS concerts, eisteddfods, and other performance events throughout the year, helping them grow as confident and expressive young musicians.
